When you listen to their music, you get to know Kevin McCoy Band. The screeching guitars, penetrating bass and wide-open vocals leave you wondering, “Is this country or rock?” The answer is both. Just take a listen and you will know where they stand.

Kevin and his band are breaking down the labels that have defined the country genre for so long!

Throughout his life, while working “regular” jobs, starting a DJ business, and raising kids; Kevin still worked on his craft of writing songs and playing guitar. In 2012 he decided to pursue his dream of music more seriously, and the Kevin McCoy Band was formed.

The band gained national attention with their debut album, Redneck & Roll, which included 10 all original songs and landed them two consecutive Josie Music Award nominations for “Group of the Year. But Kevin knew he didn’t want to stop there.

Kevin decided it was time to take his career to the next level, so he teamed up with a group of music professionals in Nashville, Tennessee. This collaboration allowed Kevin the opportunity to write with Jason Wyatt (The Lost Trailers, Kid Rock), Mason Douglas (Kid Rock, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt), and Jason Matthews (Luke Bryan, Billy Currington, Trace Adkins), among others. It looks like Kevin made the right move, “I am totally digging these new songs. I have found my voice and this is who I am, as an artist!”

The Kevin McCoy Band had a blow out year after the release of their all original debut album Redneck-N-Roll. The album gained national attention and landed a band nomination for Independent Artist "Group of the Year" for both 2017 & 2018. In additiona, the band was recently crowned the 2019 Nash Next Cincinnati Grand Prize winner. The KMB has also been featured in Cincinnati's music authority, Citybeat Magazine. Other feature articles include the Pinefield Farm Studio & Gallery publication as well as Fair Play country music magazine.

Complete with an A-list talent roster and a repertoire that screams for something wild and out of control, the KMB is excited to play new venues and the chance to bring a taste of Cincinnati's own KMB to the rest of the country.

Kevin and his band bring their passion and energy to every single performance. Check out their music and catch him and his band live. New single "Blue Collar" is set to hit radio this August.
