For a band or a label just starting out, having the right strategies & knowing which companies are worth looking into is invaluable information. That's why Notorious Radio has decided to branch out into consulting. The task of deciding to market as well as promote your releases can be daunting as there are literally thousands of resources out there, most of them only out to scam you out of your limited budget. By hiring us as your consultants, you can get a better idea of whose worth it, whose not and not have your decision process take months to figure out. This frees YOU up to do what it was that drew you into the music business in the first place: making music!!! And what's more, the initial consultation is free! That way we can see if we work well together before you commit your money and we commit our time. We believe that the people you work with, you have to have rapport with, so if it doesn't work out, there is no hard feelings on either end. We'd rather LIKE the folks we try to help than take anyone's money who just comes along. That's how the Radio side of our company was set up, and it's worked well for us for 5 years. What It Is: We will take time with you to help you set up an effective stragegy for the marketing of your music using our base of trusted companies & just plain good advice. Our advice based on our many, many years working in the music business, both from the inside at several major labels, and from the outside as a true supporter of DIY music. Essentially, you are not just paying for our expertise, you are paying us to take the guess work out of which direction you should go.

What It Isn't: We are not a company who will promise you the world only to not deliver. We know our strengths & weaknesses and as such make no guarantees. We are not here to get you signed, we are not here to book you gigs, we are not here to get your songs placed in Commercials. There are plenty of other companies out there who specialize in that...just as we specialize in Radio Promotion. You are essentially paying for our knowledge & base of contacts who are actually worth your time to further your music career. In short, we are here to, as the name suggests, consult.

What To Expect: We will have a one-hour phone conversation once a week, for two months, and you will have unlimited email access to us. In that hour we will talk about where you are, where you're going & where you'd LIKE to be going. From there we will help you implement strategies and give you contact information for folks in the various fields of music marketing that have been helpful for other folks in your position, so YOU don't have to do the research yourself! The initial cost is $1000 for the two months, half of which is due upfront. Clients of Notorious Radio will receive a discount. That breaks down to $125 a week. If, after the two months, you'd like to continue, we will offer you the discounted rate of $400 a month, or $100 a week. Every week we will delve into a different aspect of the business, based on your needs and preferences. And at the end we will give you some pointers of things to look into before our next call. That way the enormous, sometimes overwhelming task of marketing and promoting your record is broken down into small, easy-to-manage and fully research chunks. And still leave you time to do what you do best: be creative, be a band and make music!
