BIO for Liz Koch Cousins, President

Liz grew up in Los Alamitos, which is a suburb of Long Beach, CA…aka the L.B.C. It was at the Community College radio station, coupled with a gig at Tower Records, that she got her first taste of the Industry. From there, she became the Los Angeles/Orange County Street Marketing Rep for 3 years @ EMI Records. During this period she also worked as Danny Elfman's personal assistant for two & a half years. After her first CMJ (College Music Journal) Convention in 1994, she KNEW that the Music Business was what she wanted to do & that New York City was where she wanted to do it. So, she got her Associates Degree, moved to NYC & began working at Tommy Boy Music in the Underground Rock Dept in 1997. She was at Tommy Boy for almost 5 years before the company folded in March 2002. She now works out of her home in Astoria, Queens, NYC.
